How to Prepare for a Duct Cleaning Visit

Before requesting an estimate
Have the property address, service of interest, approximate building size, system count if known, and reason for the inquiry ready. Mention upper floors, attic equipment, roof access, stacked laundry appliances, or locked mechanical rooms. It is fine not to know the layout; avoid climbing or opening equipment to find out.
Before the appointment
Confirm the arrival window and expected work duration with the service contact. Ask which rooms, vents, closets, or equipment areas need access and what furniture should be moved. Plan for pets and children around the work area. Tell the contact about parking limits, gates, and access instructions without posting sensitive entry codes in a general inquiry form.
For tenants and managed properties
Make sure the owner or manager has authorized the work. Agree who can admit the service provider, approve a change, and receive the final paperwork. For commercial properties, coordinate tenant communication and any system shutdown with the responsible building contact.
Before work starts

Before the visit ends
Review the work record and any limitations. Ask what was found, what was addressed, and what still needs a separate assessment. Keep the paperwork with your property maintenance records.
